North Goa beaches

The beaches in North Goa are vibrant and exciting. They’re known for their beach clubs, water sports and sunset bars. Colourful beach shacks line the palm-fringed beaches, offering delicious local cuisine and refreshing drinks. You can easily find a lively place to spend the day and soak up the Goan sunshine, with the sounds of the sea lapping the golden shore and music emanating from the beach shacks. Bustling beach towns are a short stroll away, opening up even more fun! Having said all that – this is Goa and you’re never far away from a quiet stretch of sand. Even in the more popular beaches in North Goa, there’s always ample opportunities to bathe in peace and utter tranquillity with the music turned down low.

Anjuna

Anjuna is perhaps best known for its exciting Wednesday Flea Market attracting tourists in their droves. But head towards the ocean and you’ll find a small number of cosy and charming bays to relax in, as well as cliffside cafés to chill out in. Anjuna has a bohemian and creative vibe and while the palm-fringed beaches may not be the biggest or the longest, they are picture perfect. The sunsets from here are also legendary.

Baga

Candolim & Calangute

Candolim and Calangute are consistently top choices for British tourists, coming here to enjoy the soft-sand beaches, the wide array of water sports, the delicious food served up in the string of colourful beach shacks and the electric nightlife. Candolim is slightly more exclusive than Calangute, but both remain charming resorts. For a lively beach holiday with guaranteed sun, either make perfect bases for a winter holiday.

Sinquerim

This resort is a perfect example of Goa at its most relaxed - Sinquerim is a quiet and peaceful place to laze on the sand during your holiday to Goa. You'll find just a handful of beach shacks on the sand, while at the southern end of the beach sits the historic Fort Aguada. This 16th-century fort dates back to the days of the Portuguese colonisation and today is the ideal spot to watch the sunset and enjoy the views.

South Goa beaches

Head to South Goa if you’re looking for quiet, unspoilt, green and a more laid-back beach scene compared to North Goa. Known for its long and uncrowded beaches as well as its luxury resorts and wellness retreats, South Goa is where you unwind in paradise. These beaches are particularly popular if you’re seeking romance, or perhaps want to reset on a spa and yoga retreat.

Arossim

The quiet and quaint resort of Arossim boasts a beautiful beach, defined by a long and wide stretch of powder-white sand and a scattering of colourful beach shacks - the perfect place from which to enjoy the stunning sunset. Don’t miss out on a visit to ‘Zeebop’, a famous shack serving some of the best seafood in Goa, set amid coconut palms which encapsulate romance.

Colva

Though South Goa is generally quieter than the north, Colva has a lively atmosphere with water sports, busy beach shacks and friendly vendors. Its long stretch of white sand, lined with coconut palms and dunes, attracts both local and international visitors, while colourful fishing boats bob offshore and a bustling main street runs inland from the beach.

Mobor

This is the classic laid-back hangout for those seeking a holiday with a slow pace. The beach in Mobor is a stunning spit of soft white sand dotted with just a handful of rustic beach shacks. It's the perfect setting for long beach walks and watching the sunset. Mobor has an exclusive feel to it and is home to some of Goa's most luxurious beachfront hotels.

Cola

This is Goa's hidden gem: a peaceful beach located along an isolated bay just north of Agonda. Cola Beach is where you go to escape the crowds. It's utterly blissful and completely unspoilt and it's where we can take you if you join us on our memorable Back to Nature excursion. Palolem & Agonda

Palolem and Agonda are arguably among the finest beaches in the whole of Goa. You'll find the water of the warm Arabian Sea is at its clearest this far south - making it ideal for snorkelling. Over recent years tourism has taken more of a hold, particularly in Palolem. However, they both remain relatively undeveloped and uncrowded - ideal if you're seeking a quiet, rejuvenating holiday.

Benaulim

Located on the peaceful south coast of Goa, Benaulim is a popular resort for holidaymakers because it combines beautiful beaches, authentic Goan culture and a calm, relaxed atmosphere.
